Error Minimization
Reduce the number of errors caused by manually entering data from multiple documents.
When a new sales or purchase order is released, the document synchronization process is triggered. The sales or purchase order is automatically sent to a partner company, where it remains on hold until verified.
The verification process can include details such as agreed delivery dates, quantities, and prices. Once the order is approved, the system generates a target document and sends an order receipt confirmation to the customer. This ensures that both companies agree on the key elements of the document before processing it.
The system also sends a notification once the order has been shipped, keeping users updated on the status of every intercompany transaction. After the goods are received at the warehouse, the invoice is automatically posted, finalizing the transaction settlement.
Additionally, it is possible to send individual documents, such as service invoices, that are not part of the logistics process.
In addition to reducing the risk of errors when entering orders into an ERP system, the Advanced Intercompany module enables companies to monitor the value flow of inventory transferred between subsidiaries within a corporate group.
When handled manually, calculating the value of goods shipped but not yet received at a destination can be challenging. With the Advanced Intercompany module:
The Advanced Intercompany module is typically implemented alongside the MDMS module (Master Data Management System), which facilitates the standardization of master data (e.g., item numbers) across all subsidiaries.
This standardization simplifies the setup and functionality of the Advanced Intercompany module.
However, the Advanced Intercompany module can also be implemented as a standalone solution, provided that companies maintain data exchanges in standardized formats.
